Privacy policy

This policy describes what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers piyavelabs.com only. It does not cover systems we build and operate for clients, which are governed by the agreement covering that engagement.

What we collect

When you send the contact form

The contact form asks for a name, a work email address, and a description of what you need. A company name and a budget range are optional. We store what you submit, together with the date and time it arrived.

We use it for one purpose: to reply to you, and to prepare an estimate if the enquiry becomes a project. We do not add form submissions to a marketing list, and we do not sell, rent or share them with third parties for their own purposes.

Submissions are stored in this website’s database and are also sent to us by email so that an engineer sees them promptly.

Spam control

The form carries a hidden field that people never see and automated submitters usually fill in, and it records how long the form was open before it was sent. Both are used only to discard automated submissions. We also count submissions per network address for one hour to limit flooding; that count is stored as a one-way hash, not as your address.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard web server logs, which include network addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and browser user-agent strings. These exist for security and fault diagnosis and are retained according to the provider’s own schedule.

What we do not collect

This site does not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers, does not build behavioural profiles, and does not use cookies to identify visitors. If that changes, this page changes first and a cookie notice appears.

Cookies

Cookies are set only for people who log in to the WordPress administration area — session and preference cookies that are required for the login to function. A visitor who does not log in is not given a cookie by this site.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are kept for as long as the enquiry is live and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we have a record of what was discussed. If an enquiry does not become a project, we delete the submission on request or in our periodic review, whichever comes first.

Who processes it

This website is hosted by Hostinger, which processes data on our instructions as our hosting provider. Email notifications are delivered through the mail infrastructure attached to that hosting. We do not transfer contact form data to any other processor.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to our holding it. Write to us using the contact details on the contact page and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Administrative access is restricted to named accounts, file editing through the browser is disabled, and the database is backed up. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you directly and promptly if a breach affects your data rather than waiting to be asked.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes affecting how we use existing submissions will be notified to affected people by email.
