Most businesses do not fail for lack of ambition. They fail because the systems underneath them — the spreadsheet that became a process, the tool that never talked to the other tool, the report nobody trusts — cannot carry the weight of growth.

PIYAVE Labs was founded on an unfashionable observation: the layer that decides whether a business can scale is almost never the one anybody is looking at. We build that layer, put intelligence inside it where intelligence pays, and hand it over documented.

We are a product engineering company that takes clients, not an agency that ships deliverables. The difference shows up in the contract: we are accountable for whether the system works, not for whether it was delivered on the date we said.

01 / Principles

How we work, written as behaviour

These are decision procedures rather than values. When two options are defensible, the earlier principle wins.

We fix the structure, not the symptom

A request that arrives as a feature is usually a data-model problem wearing a feature’s clothes. We say so before we quote, even when the smaller job would have been easier to win.

Tests, documentation and a rollback path ship with everything

Not as a phase at the end. A release without a way back is not finished, and we do not bill it as though it were.

Bad news travels first, in writing

Slipped dates, wrong estimates and failed assumptions reach you from us before they reach you from your own operations. Estimates carry ranges; numbers carry sources.

Tell us what is not working

Describe the system you are running on now. We will tell you what we would change, what it would cost and how long it would take.
